One of the world’s toughest jobs is being a parent.
Assess your situation. Can you choose to change it?
- Are your children in a safe place?
Build on your strengths.
- Could you and the children benefit from a change of scene?
- Can you take the children outside, do an activity with them, or surprise them
(and maybe yourself, too) by finding the humor in the situation?
Call for help.
- Call 911 if you and/or your children are in immediate danger.
- Call a stress line, therapist, or other agency for support.
- Call the Respite Center.
- Even if we can’t get your children in immediately, we can listen. We will lend a sympathetic ear for as long as it takes you to be back in control.
- Know that we will get your children in as soon as possible so that you have some relief now or some relief to look forward to.
Respite = Relief
